While we recognise that qualifications are important, we also believe it is essential to employ staff who share the same vision and values as our nursery. Moreover, we actively seek to employ staff who are eager to develop their learning and skills, as well as recognise the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and teaching children to be bilingual.

We have a successful history of supporting apprenticeships and in our setting, apprentices get paid time to do their work. We recognise the importance of apprentices and pay more than the apprentice wage.

For those staff who we do employ, we passionately seek further learning opportunities to help them develop in their careers in their chosen areas of interest.

Visiting Other Countries

At Domi Domino we are part of the Erasmus scheme. This means that we have students from Slovenia every year who visit to come and observe how we work. In addition, some of our staff have had the opportunity to travel to Europe to observe how early years is taught abroad. They use some of this knowledge to implement new ideas at Domi Domingo.

Some of our staff have had the opportunity to visit our sister nursery in Lithuania. This has increased their knowledge of forest schools and has also been a great life opportunity for them. They have had the opportunity to share their own knowledge and skills with Lithuanian staff, and lead by example.
